I am a Teen or Child

Do you go between mum and dadʼs house, living in two separate worlds? Are your parents still arguing and does it feel all too hard? Do you also loath that question - “Which house do you prefer, Mumʼs or Dadʼs?” If so, you are not alone.

If you are reading this, you may currently be faced with parents who have decided to no longer live together. This may or may not be OK with you, but either way you may have had to end up living with frequent arguments, accusations or threats of court that often come after such a split.Teen daughter smilingAt times you may even feel more grown up than they are - and know theyʼd tell you off if you carried on arguing like they did! So if you feel youʼve tried whatever your friends have suggested with no success, had enough of the difficulties in your family, or are unsure of what you can do to make any difference, how about at least giving this a go?

The Complex Family Foundationʼs primary aim is to help children and teens to feel safe and valued in their new family, regardless of its structure, and get your family working the best it possibly can. We know stuff happens, and we also know that its often the children that are getting hurt by their parentʼs drama. We can give you suggestions and support that work to make life better for you, and also better for your whole family. You can also be confident in knowing we will not contact either of your parents, unless you specifically ask us too.

If you are unsure of making that contact yourself, why not simply point your parents in our direction? We would be happy to help them, so that they can feel better equipped to support you in the way you need right now.

If you or your parents would like some assistance, look at these.
