I am a Teacher
Have you got kids in your class who struggle because parents have been through separation and you watch them coping as best they can? Do you want to do more but just donʼt seem to know what to do even if you were able to find the time? Are there times you feel that youʼre in the middle of the parents issues more than solving the students challenges?
Statistics are showing increases in families going through separation, divorce or some form of breakdown, and this makes a difference to who you are teaching every day of the school year.
It usually effects their desire to learn, willingness to cooperate and their level of hope for their own futures. This can often translate into learning challenges, behaviour difficulties and general disruption in the class environment, effecting other students.
Complex Family Foundation was founded by Jill Darcey with the specific aim of transferring the knowledge about what can actually help families and their children in these often difficult circumstances. We at the Foundation understand the uniqueness of the family structure when compared to a Traditional Family, and the methods that can help keep this Complex Family functioning effectively. We can help you to help parents, grandparents and children to bring long-term, sustainable positive change. We look to support and strengthen the things that are already working for the family, and develop alternative methods of overcoming areas which are not working so well.
I am a Therapist
Have you been in relationship counselling or coaching where the fallout of separation or divorce has left you somewhat bewildered? Do you want to gain more specialised assistance to help your clients deal with issues - both big and small? Would some further techniques and suggestions be useful in your own practice?
The differences between parenting techniques, conflict resolution and relationship dynamics inside a Complex Family and that of the Traditional Family are significant. Many parenting manuals forget to face these challenges in a practical way leaving many parents feeling overwhelmed by all the things that seem to no longer work. We watch parents wage battle over conflicting techniques, preferences and absolutes - without the wisdom to know the real difference.
Here at Complex Family Foundation we specialise in assistance for those involved in the Complex Family. We understand the uniqueness of the family structure when compared to a Traditional Family, without making excuses or seeking compensation.
